A Great Night!!!

Well, It has certainly been a while since my last post. I was on vacation for 2 weeks and I was sick most of that time. I had all of these plans to work at home and some on the children's areas at church. I guess God had different plans for me. I have to go for an endoscopy this coming Friday so I ask for anyone who reads this to please pray for me. On the bright side, I have actually lost 16 pounds thus far. Not such a pleasant way to lose weight, but hey, I guess I will take it however I can get it. Anyway, I went back to work this week and I was kind of bummed out! I mean being off for two weeks made going back to work very difficult. I assumed that Monday was going to be just awful but it really wasn't bad at all. Several people have told me that they prayed for me this week and I can say that I certainly felt the prayers!!!! On Thursday afternoon a good friend of mine who happens to be a Southern Living consultant came by the office to bring her son for an appointment. She seemed to be very anxious to hurry things along and get out of there. I finally asked her why she was in such a rush. She told me that she was going to get to meet Gail Pittman. Thee Gail Pittman, I aked. Thee Gail Pittman, she exclaimed!!!! She then said would you like to meet her? Well, hello!!!! Of course I wanted to meet Gail Pittman!! I have spent so much money on Southern Living and also on Gail Pittman pottery. They are some of my most prized treasures. I was overjoyed at the mere thought of actually getting to meet such a celebrity. My friend told me that I needed to bring a piece of my pottery and that she would autograph it for me. My sweet co worker,Diane, got invited also. We could hardly believe our good fortune. We had such a wonderful time. I already loved Southern Living and Gail Pittman, but after hearing their funny, inspirational words, I love them even more. I am now and will forever be one of "thee Gail Pittman's" biggest fans. She hugged me 3 times. Can you believe it????? The next time any of you are at my home be sure to ask me to see my autographed platter. I took many pictures of the speakers and some of the beautiful displays they made right before our eyes. The only bad part of the night was that they drew names for about 50 peices of SLAH products and GP pottery. Of course I did not win one single thing. I am a poor sport! I guess just getting to meet a great lady and learning some decorating tips will just have to suffice!

This is sad but I don't really know who Gail Pittman is. You know me, I only buy stuff at Wal mart. Judy
