Awarded: 2008 Queen of Procrastination-Rebecca Taylor

Yes, it's true I am the biggest procrastinater in the world. I feel I am very deserving of this award! When Jeff and I moved to Mississippi we brought alot of belongings. I say belongings, Jeff says Junk! "One man's trash is another man's treasure"---I really like that saying. To me, things like plastic pumpkins, boxes of construction paper, Christmas ornaments that mice have nibbled on, ten million pieces of corning ware etc. etc. etc. Are not junk!!! I use to think that I wasn't a pack rat and I'm not with anyone's things except my own. In my opinion, Jeff and Will could do with alot less than they have, but hey, keep your paws off of my treasures! Anyway to get back on the subject of procrastination, when we moved here the house we bought was partially furnished. We really did not need most of the things that were here because we already had our own stuff from Andalusia. Do you see where I am going? Now we have twice as much "Stuff" as before. I have been saying ever since we moved in that I should clean out our shed(which is really a small house behind our house) and turn it into something really useful. I love to paint and so this could be used as a little place for me to go and do what I enjoy. We could paint the walls and do the floors and a whole assortment of sprucing up and the place could really be nice. It's just getting motivated to do it. Jeff and I were going fishing yesterday with some people and plans fell through. I searched all day for a fun alternative and just couldn't come up with it. I was sitting at the bar in my kitchen when I looked out there at my poor neglected shed. As you can see from the pictures, we have just thrown everything in there and have never attempted to do anything else. IT'S TIME FOR A CHANGE!@! I am very glad that my parents do not have the internet because my mother would have a heart spell if she knew I was showing the under belly of our home to others. I rolled up my sleeves last night and went at it. I wound up throwing away only 2 trash bags full thus far and you can't even tell I touched it. But, I am resolved to keep going. It may take me a month, it might even kill me, but I am going to try. Pray for me to carry on, even as the procrastinater in me says "No, find anything else but THIS".

P.S. I did find a pair of my very favorite sandals out there. Who knows what else I may find if I just keep on digging.

Keep it up because I want to see some of your paintings! Hey, I have some sandals just like that. I was wondering what the "foot" picture was all about!

I LOVE those sandals. They are so comfy and they go with everything. I was heartbroken this summer when I could not find them. I found alot of useful things out there I didn't even know I had. It is kinda encouraging and makes me want to keep looking.

I just did that with my closets. I feel like I have accomplished a major undertaking. I kind of feel like I can breathe again! You'll be so glad to have that job behind you and just think how nice it'll be when everything is so nice and organized!
