Hurricane Gustav-Deja Vue

My grandmother always said that if your nose itched someone was coming to pay you a visit. Well my nose is actually itching and I am afraid that my "company" may be Hurricane Gustav. It was exactly 3 years ago tomorrow that Hurricane Katrina came and really devastated us. Already the stores are a mad house!!!! Hurricane mania has officially struck! The gas prices have already started to go up and there is no bottled water, charcoal, batteries or spam in a 50 mile radius. The latest reports are that the canned good aisle at Wal-Mart is very scant. I am going to be getting off work early today and Jeff and I are heading home to get everything that may possibly blow away tied down. I just ask that anyone who reads this to pray and ask God to protect us. I know that He is in control of all situations and this is no exception. To all of my Laurel friends- Be Safe! The following are some pictures taken in Laurel during Katrina:

That may sound crazy, but after Katrina, I would have yanked your arm off if you had offered me some! Let's just see how bad it gets first. Thanks!

Try your best to OBEY what the weatherman tells you to do! It's possible that maybe y'all could be coming over here during your vacation instead of us over there... Gustav is a good reason to leave!

Oh yea Kelley, did you know that was the weekend we were suppose to come over here to Laurel to do our trial sermon. We actually had a pretty good time despite the hurricane. Except for when the water began to seep down into the bottom of the education building where Will and Abi Mc Duffie were sleeping! I also remember sweet Mama Lois in her recliner.
